Page Analyzed and Group Members

Our group, Allie Shamberger, McKalah Gaine and Ava Vilella looked at the our program page. The apparent target audience seems to be parents, families, and community members who are interested in learning about Highlander’s programs and partnerships. It was written for people who want to know how the school supports student growth and connects with the community.

Who It's For and How It's Written

It could also be written for potential students, local educators, or donors who want more details about specific programs, age groups, and the benefits students receive. Adding this info would make it more useful for a wider audience.

The text is a good length, but some parts could be more concise, like the mission statement. It could benefit from additional details about the specific programs offered, the age groups they target, and examples of what students actually do with community partners.

Improved Version
“Highlander’s education program uses innovative teaching to help all students reach their full potential. Teachers personalize learning for each student, from early childhood through high school, helping them develop academic, social, and leadership skills. Students engage in hands-on projects and community partnerships, including STEAMBox, Girl Scouts, Gamm Theatre, and Save the Bay, to apply what they learn and give back to their neighborhoods.”
